K2 Blue+
SCR Additive – protection and optimal operation of the SCR system
K2 Blue+ SCR additive is a modern additive for ADBLUE (K2 Euroblue), created for owners of vehicles with diesel engines and selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems. Thanks to its innovative formula, it effectively minimizes the risk of ADBLUE crystallization, protecting the system from breakdowns, which allows for long-term and trouble-free operation.
How to use: Pour into a container with urea at a ratio of 50 ml to 20 L, mix well, add to the SCR dosing system. Do not add fuel!
Why choose K2 Blue+ SCR additive?
– Prevents crystallization in the SCR system: Reduces the risk of deposits and clogging of components, a common problem in ADBLUE systems.
– SCR System Protection: Extends the life of key components such as injectors and pumps, which translates into lower repair costs.
– Optimal reduction of NOx emissions: The product supports the effective reduction of nitrogen oxides, helping to meet strict exhaust emission standards and protect the environment.
– Easy to use: the additive must be applied every time the ADBLUE solution is refilled to ensure reliable system protection.
ADBLUE Troubleshooting
If you are wondering how to prevent ADBLUE crystallization or want to avoid problems with the SCR system, K2 Blue+ is the perfect solution. Regular use of the preparation not only protects your vehicle, but also improves the efficiency of exhaust gas reduction, thanks to which it meets the requirements for NOx emissions.
Who is K2 Blue+ for?
This product is designed for car, van and truck owners who want to ensure maximum efficiency and reliability of their SCR systems. If you are looking for the best ADBLUE additive that will prevent problems and extend the life of your system, K2 Blue+ will meet your expectations.
Trust a proven solution and choose K2 Blue+ – SCR protection system, low exhaust emissions and trouble-free driving every day!
The problem with ADBLUE crystallization is the formation of hard deposits in the SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system. This is due to the specific composition of ADBLUE, i.e. an aqueous solution of urea. The main causes and effects of this problem are:
1. Causes of ADBLUE crystallization
– Water evaporation: ADBLUE contains approximately 32.5% urea and 67.5% water. If the water evaporates, urea may precipitate as crystals.
– Low temperatures: At temperatures below -11°C ADBLUE begins to freeze, which favors the formation of crystals.
– Liquid residue: Leaving small amounts of ADBLUE on system components, such as injectors or pipes, can lead to crystallization once the water evaporates.
– System failure: A damaged or clogged ADBLUE injector can cause insufficient atomization of the solution, which favors the formation of deposits.
2. Effects of ADBLUE crystallization
– Clogged injectors and pipes: urea crystals can block the flow of ADBLUE, preventing the system from functioning properly.
– Pump and sensor damage: Blockages can lead to overloading of the ADBLUE pump and damage to the liquid level sensors.
– Reduced efficiency of the SCR system: Crystallization on the SCR catalyst reduces its efficiency in reducing nitrogen oxides (NOx) emissions.
– Costly repairs: Cleaning or replacing damaged SCR system components, such as injectors, pumps or catalytic converters, is often expensive.
How to prevent ADBLUE crystallization?
– Regular use of ADBLUE additives (e.g. K2 Blue+) which prevent crystal formation.
– Proper storage of ADBLUE at a temperature between -5°C and 25°C to avoid freezing or overheating.
– Regular maintenance of the SCR system, including cleaning the injectors and checking the condition of the pump and pipes.
Preventing crystallization is crucial to ensure the correct operation of the SCR system, to meet emission standards and to avoid costly repairs.
